General CoVID-19 Protocols

Definitions

Close contact is defined, as laid forth by the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), as:

  • Being within 6 feet of a person infected with COVID-19 for a total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period or

  • Having unprotected contact with the infected person’s body fluids and/or secretions of a person with confirmed COVID-19 (e.g. being coughed or sneezed on, sharing utensils or saliva, or providing care without using appropriate protective equipment).

Exposed is defined as being in close contact to an individual with confirmed COVID-19 during the infectious period.

  • The infectious period is considered to start 2 days before symptoms first appeared until the time the individual is no longer required to be isolated (i.e. no fever for at least 24 hours, without the use of fever-reducing medicine AND other symptoms have improved AND at least 10 days have passed since symptoms first appeared).

    • An individual with a positive COVID-19 test and no symptoms is considered infectious from 2 days before their test was taken until 10 days after their positive test.

Schedule

Delaney Wright Fine Arts Preschool Eagle Rock will operate Monday – Friday from 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM. Pick up for full-time scheduled children will take place after 2:30 PM, with the last pick up time being no later than 5:15 PM so that teachers and staff have sufficient time to properly and thoroughly disinfect the classrooms. Late pick up fees will begin at 5:30 PM. Pick up for half-day scheduled children will take place no later than 12:00 PM for the Ivy and Daisy classrooms and 12:30 PM for the Poppy classroom. Late pick up fees will begin at 12:01 PM and 12:31 PM respectively.

Face Masks

All individuals over the age of 2 will be required to wear a face covering at all times while on the Delaney Wright Fine Arts Preschool Eagle Rock property, which includes outside of the school buildings in the play yards and courtyard, regardless of vaccination status. This includes but is not limited to staff members, children enrolled in the program, visitors, parents, siblings, etc. Face masks must fit snuggly and cover one’s mouth, nose, and chin at all times.

Children over the age of 2 will be permitted to remove their face coverings to eat, drink, sleep, and participate in water play, as well as on an as-needed basis.

COVID-19 Vaccinations

All adults or individuals over the age of 12 on the Delaney Wright Fine Arts Preschool Eagle Rock campus will be required to a) be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and b) submit proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 to the Director prior to being on campus*. This includes but is not limited to staff members (teachers, administrative staff, maintenance staff, housekeeping staff), parents or guardians, and anyone on a child’s authorized pick up list. If a parent or guardian authorizes another individual on their child’s authorized pick up list to pick up their child at the end of the day, the parent or guardian must submit proof of the individual’s full vaccination against COVID-19 prior to their being on the campus. If an individual who is unvaccinated wishes to or is authorized to drop off or pick up a child, we will offer valet pick up or drop off**.

All tours for prospective families during school hours will be held over FaceTime and in-person tours will only be offered after school operational hours. All individuals participating in on-campus tours will be required to follow all COVID-19 protocol listed herein. Booster COVID-19 vaccines are highly encouraged if applicable and/or available but notrequired at this time.

*Full vaccination is currently defined as two weeks after receiving the second dose of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine OR two weeks after receiving the sole dose of the Johnson&Johnson vaccine. Proof of vaccination needs to be submitted to the Director once and will be kept confidential.

**To drop off or pick up valet style, ring the doorbell to the main school building and let either the Administrator or Director know who you are picking up or dropping off and, if picking up a child, wait in the courtyard for the child to be brought outside. Valet style drop off or pick up does not preclude an individual from wearing a facial covering.

Other

Drop off and pick up of children in the program must be limited to no longer than five minutes to help limit the number of individuals on campus. Siblings are permitted on campus for drop off and pick up but must follow the protocol listed herein (which includes but is not limited to wearing a mask at all times, inside and outside, and providing proof of full COVID-19 vaccination if over the age of 5) and are not permitted to play with toys or other objects inside the classroom or on the yards.

Winter Break

All unvaccinated individuals will be required to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test prior to their first day back on campus following the two-week school closure for Winter Break. This includes siblings if applicable. The test must be taken within 72 hours of the child’s first day back on campus and results must be sent to the Director before January 3 rd , 2022. Test results from December 30th or earlier will NOT be accepted. No exceptions will be made.
